From my perspective, aside from me eating too many wings, that meeting went very well. Here's what I take away from it:
Everybody seems to agree that this new org can help the present situation.
It seems best to get the org started with a quick and simple set of bylaws, and without incorporation.
Members will be individuals, rather than organizations. (Though, as I reflect on this, I suppose there would be no harm in allowing both individual and organization members. The only stipulation I would suggest is that anyone involved in volunteer projects needs to be registered as an individual.)
We will meet on a monthly basis, and make changes as needed.
Governing body will be a committee. Each committee member will represent one or more of the recreational groups. The more diverse the better.
All committee members will be on an equal footing with each other. In the event that we cannot reach consensus on some matter requiring a decision, the decision will be made by a simple majority vote.
I agree to be the liaison between the org and the WSF superintendent.
Please add to this any corrections other comments.

May I suggest an invitation be extended to all stakeholder organizations, and that a record of response be recorded in minutes. This way it is noted who was willing to work at a solution and who is not.

Sorry I didn't notice that mudboy had started a thread specific to the meeting. Maybe the administrators can combine these, somehow?
In reply to the comment above, I would recommend that we keep extending informal invitations to other organization reps during this early stage. Then once we have actually established the organization, with bylaws and all, we may want to send formal invitations if any groups seem to be playing hard to get.

Well , I know Red Lion was mentioned. I believe a steady date should be picked out. Such as the third thursday of every month or something. Just that way it is known. Anyone got an suggestions. I just need to know so it's easier for me to get a sitter. That was our first time trying to bring all 3 kids to a meeting. It wasn't bad before the twins but now it's a little much.,

"I believe a steady date should be picked out. Such as the third thursday of every month or something."
I agree. I have Tuesdays and Thursdays tied up, though it would not be impossible to make a meeting on one of those nights once a month. Any other night should be do-able.
Is somebody still trying to set it up at Red Lion Inn? If that's not working out, let's just go for Lucas.
How about every third Wednesday?
