Names Dave Demsey. Alot of you may know me or at least know my screenname. For those of you who don't. I grew up from the day I came home from the hospital with my backyard bordering wharton and sideyard bordered by a main entrance into Wharton. My father started taking me out on trail rides that same day. Before most of the laws that are out topday, I used to run a dunebuggy in the trails starting at age 11. First truck was at age 16 being a 85 dodge ramcharger that I swapped 1 tons under and 38" Swampers. 45 vehicles later I am now 28 years old and have been through about 35 4x4s with 2 being trailer queens. Rest where on the trails. I have done alot of organized work from mud racing to rockcrawling. I have ridden with many different clubs but am currently only members of 2.Misfits and NJJA. I have no loyalty with any clubs and never will. I believe 4x4 use in general in the State of New Jersey should just be one big club. I run a local mud racing event as well "Mud in the Pines. I have done this in effort to provide 4x4 entertainment and to show people our sport is fun. Not only did I do it for this but also to give the guys with non legal trucks a place to have LEGAL fun. Over time I have seen the local 4x4 scene more than quadrouple on the trails. As good as this is it also brings in some uneducated people and also morons who flat out don't care. From these two individuals types of people we have all witnessed the destruction of Wharton. At the point we are at now the risk of losing privleges to trail ride and explore Wharton of increased. This is why I'm here and jumped up and made phone calls the instant the NJN story aired. It's time for something to happen to dramatically reduce the destruction thats occuring. Key factor is not to get in your mind that this will be 100% stopped. If you get this in your mind you will be in a constant mindframe of dissapointment. I think goals should be to reduce it by 95-99%. A few key plays of common sense will go along way with this. If everybody works as a group and doesn't view this as brownie points or club recognition I think we'll be Ok. The second I see people trying to take claim for something for club regognition will be when I stop working with that person. Keep in mind that everyone loves the Pines for some reason and thats what as a whole makes us.NJTLC
I look forward to working with everyone in the near future.
