My nephew's a member of Meteor. I'm gonna talk to him tomorrow & pass along my contact info to give to a club officer. I believe Tom reached out to multiple clubs when kicking NJTLC off.

Yes I read tom did contact. And the letter to the presson here is from a couple of guys and I have replied to a post on east coast enduro assoc. So they are well aware of what's going on.

I'm here... just went to the 2/16 meeting at Red Lion Inn. I'll probably try to be a regular there - but may not be on the forum much.

Now the Dual Sport Section... the push has started to alienate the enduro riders...

The enduro guys prefer dualsport! Enduro is a subcategory of dualsport! NO ALIENATION!!!

to clarify the issue:
it seems 1 person in attendance mistakenly suggested dual-sport - he said he was under the impression that there was a SEPARATE enduro category?... the rest of us were disenfranchised enduro riders and collectively rolled our eyes during the meeting. lol!
dualsport is one type of many possible motorcycle - it is like renaming the 4x4 group - the luxury SUV group. many enduro riders would prefer a mountain bike to a traditional dual sport.
the issue needs to be revisited at the next meeting!
i would propose two separate groups: - competitive dirt bike riding/enduros - non-competitive off highway motorcycle riding/dual-sport
while they seem similar - the two groups often operate completely independent of each other. if that is not possible - the group name needs to AT LEAST represent the interests of both groups (which are QUITE different).
