The NJTLC has become far less focused on Robert's Rules of Order and far more focused on being effective at coordinating the efforts of the various forest user-groups. Our meetings are still held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Red Lion Inn (7pm) and we still have a wide representation of the people who enjoy spending their time in the woods. We don't generally have too much controversy or strife but we stay in touch in with what's going on and we ensure that the lines of communication remain open and efficient.
We have taken a position in support of the TAC PAC (please see the thread) because it is now apparent that science and reason are no longer being used as justifications for developing policy and procedure regarding the forests and this will have a very negative impact on the environment and communities of the Pinelands. As the forest users, we know and love these woods better than most and we need to get our governmental representatives to understand what is being done in their name. In politics, money talks... We're getting ready to start speaking VERY LOUDLY. Please consider making a donation.
