Hi All,
I am JP, I am from north jersey, some of you may know me, some may not. I am here to offer whatever help I can. I have a bit of experience when it comes to OHV and will share what I can.I have had many discussions with Russ over the years and I know Rob from NJBBA.
I am a member of NJJC.
I had been asked by a member of the equine community to see if I could lend a hand to Tom as he reached out to them. I am on the NJ Trails council as the motorized rep, also was part of the ORV subcommittee as mentioned in the ORV policy by our beloved Bradley Campbell.
Further and this is just for info and areas of expertise that I can reach out to if needed.
I am the NJ partner of NOHVCC, I am on the board of directors of BRC, I founded NJOHVA also a Tread Lightly Master Trainer, and an ASI liscenced instructor, to mention some. I have sat in Trenton many a day either fighting or pushing different forms of OHV legislation.
I say this again just so you know I am here and have access to all these folks and more if you wish and think it can help. But not being from south jersey I do not know all the players or the areas you speak of, but it is a generic issue and education of those that are damaging sensitive areas is an important aspect of controling this problem, as well as signage. I can tell you that in most other states all user groups coexist with minimal issues, NJ is just slow coming to the party... I spoke to the regional park director last week and got his prospective.
I will be lurking around and if I feel I can help or if I am asked I will post up.. I wish you all good luck and salute you for your efforts..
