I wanted to post this because if four wheelers get called out on the carpet for any damage that may occur from their activities then the NJ Forest Fire Service should too. Look at the work done by them off of Dover Road in Ocean County in Double Trouble. [/img] If some four wheelers, ATV riders or motorcycle riders did 1/25 of this amount of damage people would be marching on Trenton to get them all banned forever. So it's okay when the forest fire service does it? I guess they get to play by their own rules? Maybe they should really rethink their "plan of attack" because they really helped open up the access to 1/4 mile and when you build roads like this people will naturally think they can drive down them. I would also like to know how many studies were performed before this work was accomplished? Just trying to be fair, people want to say a certain group causes "x" amount of damage, well to be honest I don't know what is worse than this? I imagine they will say this was needed for access, sure. I just really question how they go about things. You can read more about this over here: forums.njpinebarrens.com/nature-environment/8324-attention-nj-forest-fire-service.htmlI received permission from the poster to use his pics and to link to the thread.

Good points! I think we have to accept the creation of plow-lines, but we certainly have a right to object to littering! Did anyone talk directly with the Forest Fire Service people about any of this?
