Thanks for the reminder Nick!
I couldn't delete the original meeting date on the calendar, so I added a "NOT meeting" to it and posted the real date of the meeting. The calendar is the only special access I have, I think.

Just a thought...
Since the change of date was at the request of the Red Lion Inn, it might make sense to have a very obvious place on the home page for our next meeting date. We may have to do this more often than we would have liked due to conflicts with the venue and having a "shell game" with our meeting times makes it tough for non-members to come see what we're all about. It really means we need to get that information posted as obviously as possible. Being labeled as "secretive" because of a miscommunication would not only be unfortunate but it can be a tough reputation for an organization to shake.

The Red Lion has been great to us, indeed. They have lent us the back room. I hope they are making some income from the food sales.
As we saw from the last meeting attendance is growing at a rate faster then our plans. Its bursting at its seams and may continue for a few more months as the org is a hot item.
Longer term meeting thoughts may be a topic for the GC to keep on the plate?

From what I have heard, this is not likely to happen too often, but even so, I agree that we need to prominently display any changes as soon as we can.

I just wanted to post a quick note of thanks to the founding members. As we transition to the new governing committee, it will be our challenge to direct the NJTLC with the same spirit of cooperation that you established from the outset and work as effectively as you did toward shaping the organization.
Members: Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any issues, complaints, ideas or thoughts you may have. Meeting time can be quite limited and it will be important that we have effective communication on this forum to ensure that the NJTLC stays responsive and inclusive.
One final note... Al, thank you for the nomination. I hope to prove worthy of your trust.
Best regards, Tom
