I seem to remember someone asking for information about vernal pools and at last months meeting a suggestion was made to put together a presentation about them and other sensitive areas. I found this presentation today while researching my school project. What do you all think? www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/ensp/pdf/vptrain04.pdf

Wow, that was something. Nice and in-depth too.
The more that read it, the more that learn.
Be nice to have that link on the website Tom.
They are all over in the pines.
Anyone think there are any of the vernal pools in the pines certified and or registered?
Thanks for finding that.

If anyone is interested in working to help preserve the land surrounding vernal pools this spring, the South Jersey Land and Water Trust will be training volunteers to search for habitat hotspots on April 6, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at the Upper Deerfield Municipal Bldg in Cumberland County ((1325 State Highway 77 (856) 451-3811)). For more info and to RSVP, contact the SJLWT's Director Christine Nolan at cnolan@sjlandwater.org or 856-881-2269. We would really love for you to join us.
