Respectfully Submitted to the Project Committee:
Proposal of Project:
Indentification and Tracking: This can be an ongoing project to track and identify areas and such, which would help us with an understanding of the extent of major damaged areas, temporary dumped garbage, tree and plant damage, usage, etc. It is understood that the purpose and use of this will grow as we gather more information. It may sync up with some projects, but is not intended as a status of project committee projects.
This is useful if we need a summary of what the club is looking at, and for each of us to be in sync with the scope of what we are working on. For me a summary is better than trying to re-find the thread and info on the forum, as the information may be spread about threads.
This identification may include:
Damaged Areas Road Identification Coordinates Photos (especially useful for before and after photos/records) Sensitive plants Natural and normal use changes Trail Coalition related Geocaches Contact and reporting info. (more definition to come)
I can start gathering and tracking this information in an MSword document, which can be put into pdf format as well.
Comments from the Jan meeting about keeping sensitive information private is acknowledged. -The main bulk of the information is used for us internally. -Some of it can be put on the website or used in promotions and process reports and flyers. -A good source of the starting information can be gathered from our forum (existing areas, info, and photos) and other outside websites.

I have an idea! As some of you know, I am in school for GIS and am almost done. The final stage of my certification is a capstone project. I am putting together a synopsis for this project. It will have to do with mapping out certain roads in WSF according to accessibility and sensitive areas. I think once it is complete the final product will be very helpful to us. As soon as I put together the idea, I will post it here.... (this is why it is taking me forever to get the minutes posted, hehe)
