I'm with the OCSJ ya know, and primarily Hiking and Kayaking. And but of course 4-wheeling through the Pines. I got the big red van so I'd have more room and its got all wheel drive. At first I was worried about how meaty the All-wheel system would be, but not so much anymore. The last time I drove through, my kayak rack up on top of the van racks got caught on a branch. No biggie because I'm used to scrappen up a new vehicle right away in the Pines. This time, the van lurched back, and one of the wheels skipped. I forgot how darn high it would be and how bad it would catch on some big overhangs. No big damage, just almost pulled the kayak holder off the rack before the limp let go. But it was fun. Now instead of looking down and wondering if I can make it across, I have to look up and wonder if I can make it "Under" too. Hah!

I know that's right! I am so used to taking my Cherokee where I rarely have that issue, so when Ray and I went through in the big ole F250 the other day, I was literally ducking in my seat as the branches were hitting the windshield. Height makes a huge difference lol

I think the same thing when I drive my RV (on the road). I placed a Brother P-Touch label on the dash that reads "12'-6" (my clearance)
