I thought about making a goecache reflecting our name when that is settled. This could have education and club information within the cache, and a long writeup on the cache page.
Several of these could be good in different areas at the start of frequently used sand road entries. A protect the pines series or such, and similar in other areas.
Thats about as far as the though has gone. I have a lock and lock cache box ready, that could hold some brochures.

I was stinking about something.
How about if I do geocache njtlc1, Gypsie, Muck, etc. take NJTLC2, 3, etc. with whomever..... Be creative.
We could have common info base on the geo page, and after we make flyers and stuff we can put them in there. I'll replace my Proposal cache at Atsions side door.

I'd like to make a suggestion. There is a new style of barcode that is shaped like a B&W mosaic. It can be scanned by most of the newer cell phones. Once the phone scans the code, it takes the person to a specific web page which is represented by the barcode. We could place barcode stickers inside of the cache lids or on the flyers. The person would get much more info from the web page than we could put into a flyer. We could alter the web page when content needs to be updated instead of printing new flyers. We could also have a web page for each cache site so the user would get different info depending on the area the cache is in and also be better educated on the uniqueness of that area. Cons: This will take some development by a web master. Not all cell phones can read the barcodes but text added under the code can be entered into this site: get.qode.comExample: NYTCODE Maybe something to think about for the future.

Nice to see you here, Mike!
That is a unique idea that may work! There are a lot of people out there that wouldn't use it, but there are a lot there that would. Especially if they are targeting this series of caches.....

I can help create web pages, so long as they're static and don't need updating.

That bar code idea is just blowing my mind. Totally new concept. Wow. Oh, and now that we have a name and a mission statement set, its time to start working up the geocaches. I think we should just talk a bit about what should be in them and the general theme. - The naming sound good: NJ Trail Lovers Coalition #X
(either number or area, like 1, 2, 3 or Atsion, Batsto, etc?)
- A description in the container, or at the head of the logbook?
- Hand outs and other educational stuff (to what exent I don't know yet?) The business cards or flyers.
What ya think. I think a guy named Muck would be a better lead on the thoughts and direction here? Don't ya think? Mine at Atsion will be a 6 x 10 x 5 lock and lock with the basic information on the front of the log book and taped inside.

I think it is a great idea.
I was thinking about the names of the caches and numbers sound very bland. Maybe NJTLC - Atsion or whatever area it is located in.
By description, do you mean a description of the historical area the cache is located in? If so, then it should be written in the front of the logbook IMHO.
And it definitely needs to be filled with our info.
And yes.... I nominate Muck as the committee leader for this project. Any second?

Ok, NJTLC - Atsion, sounds good to me. Even better for my two existing cache replacements: NJTLC - Atsion North Side (for my cache along quaker bridge rd) NJTLC - Atsion South Side (for the proposal one by the cabin)
I was thinking information about the club and further information about treading litely, not littering, staying on the main roads, etc. as info in the cache. That would be the base type information, then on the cache page go further with some history of that trail and those buildings, themed to respect and take care with them.
