The spring is a busy time of year in the forest. There are lots of organized trail activities from the Jeep Jamboree and the various Enduros to the many horse events and hikes. It's been good to see that the NJTLC has been involved with providing volunteers for all of these activities! In the midst of it all, we even managed to have another clean-up, the first of what we intend to make an annual event in Brendan T Byrne SF.
As we look to the coming summer we're going to make a few adjustments. Applying the lessons we learned last year, we're expanding the activities that worked, more canoe clean-ups and stopping those that didn't, no summer meetings in July and August. This means that the June meeting will be important for handling our business until September. We'll be setting the dates for the canoe runs mentioned above (we like to do Mondays and get the trash from the previous weekend) and passing out some materials.
We are also considering an "official" relationship with Tread Lightly! Anyone interested in discussing that should definitely be there.
As always, I hope to see you at the meetings.
