Most of the people that enjoy the rivers of the Pinelands (and, presumably, the others, as well) want to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of these waterways. What's to be done about the knuckleheads that float or paddle down while getting drunk and loud on the trip and littering the streambanks with their containers?

My family has been doing the annual Delaware River cleanup for about a decade now. I've just developed a habit of packing more out than I take in - no matter what water way I'm on... I'm happy to say that I've found less to pick up as the years go by!

Picking up a little here and a little there goes a long way. When there is little to no trash in the water I believe first time visitors are more compelled to keep an eye on their refuse.
