On November 20th, the Pinelands Commission staff met with a group representing the off-road community to discuss the new application process for Off-Road Recreational Events, proposed changes to the Comprehensive Management Plan and Pinelands Development Credits.
While the enduro community was well represented, the 4-wheelers were limited to the Jeep Jamboree. The SF staff was also well represented at the meeting along with a representative from the SPP. I am writing this as an outreach to the 4-Wheel clubs to let you know that if you hold organized, permitted events in the Pinelands, you need to make yourselves aware of what's happening.
The efforts of the Pinelands Commission are generally intended to make the process simpler and more specific to the actual events but it is still wise to understand the rule-making process under which you will be operating. It would also be fair to say that there are some areas where it will take effort to ensure that the new rules governing the use of the forest do not have negative consequences for organized motorized events. This is simply just a word to the wise to get involved.

Hey 4 Wheelers! Please PM me with a phone number or email if you hold permitted events. I will be meeting with the Pinelands Commission staff and would like to get your input.
